Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observed conditions and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or environmental concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, provide directions and assistance, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior.
- Aid in de-escalation support during tense interactions when appropriate, while maintaining a visible presence and following post orders and healthcare location protocols.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
