Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, process visitors and deliveries, and maintain required logs and documentation related to security-related operations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and controlled access areas, with attention to unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and conditions that could impact site operations.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, following post orders, and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
