This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Digital Patrol Reporting in Saint Louis, MO, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$18.04 / hour

Schedule

  • Fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
  • Example shift: DayTime Wed 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, documenting and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Assist with directions, visitor inquiries, and campus events while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred qualifications: customer service experience and comfort using a computer or tablet.
