Security Officer Part Time Patrol Digital Reporting

About the role

As a Part-Time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, and Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking facilities, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Guard card/license.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Thursday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Friday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Saturday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
