This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Clinical Access in Aiken, SC, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and communicating observations to appropriate site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate departments or designated waiting areas.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly according to site-specific reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
