Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization

About the Role

This is a part-time Security Officer Enhanced position at a food and beverage production location in Council Bluffs, IA. The role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
• This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points at a food and beverage production location, verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery access in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-related logs; issue and collect visitor credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
