Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Richland, MS. This flexible, dependable position offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings. The role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and the opportunity to build toward a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): hired for a designated site and weekly shift for a six‑month commitment.

Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access‑control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for delivery vehicles and personnel, coordinate with appropriate site contacts, and document arrivals, departures, and exceptions.
• Respond to access‑control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift more than 20 lb. (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Loss prevention experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 + years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.43 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime Thursday, 02:00 PM – 11:30 PM (fixed‑shift anchor). Additional shifts may be picked up as needed.
