Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control access for authorized individuals, verify credentials when required, and report unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and following post instructions.
• Aid with screening vendors, contractors, deliveries, and/or after-hours access requests in accordance with location procedures and access control expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, support loss prevention goals, and provide a visible presence for the location.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
