As a Elite Armed Security Officer - Part Time in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
How This Role Works
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
- Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 02:45 PM - 11:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and reporting requirements.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, potential theft, and other security-related matters.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
