Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor management practices, and/or assist with directional questions and general assistance.
• Document incidents, daily activities, and policy-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and location requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
