About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and help to de-escalate conflicts when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, and/or other assigned locations, report suspicious activity, and document incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Support access control and visitor screening practices, assist with directions and general assistance, and communicate with staff and first responders during security-related events.
Requirements
- Hospital vaccines are required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergencies.
- Knowledge of hospital-specific policies and procedures.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
