Security Officer Driver Patrol Property Monitoring

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government location. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, tenants, and members of the public while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at government-operated port facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, waterfront areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain surveillance of access points, identify unusual or prohibited activity, and report security-related concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal and designated site personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
