Security Officer Driver Patrol Associate

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across an academic campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local contacts, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, lighting, and/or access concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access permissions when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Support a professional campus atmosphere by providing directions, assisting with routine questions, and helping to address security-related concerns for members of the campus community.

Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Customer service experience is preferred.
