Security Officer Driver Operations

About the role

Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a critical utilities location in Lawrence Township, NJ. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.73 / Hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
