As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, gates, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report security-related conditions, suspicious activity, and policy violations while maintaining professional communication with personnel and visitors.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
