About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help support a secure environment. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain access-control logs for visitors, contractors, deliveries, incidents, and unusual activity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Day shift: Saturday 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- Day shift: Sunday 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
