Responsibilities
- Creates positive, memorable, and efficient interactions at the exterior of the building, within the lobby, and at the front desk.
- Proactively greets guests outside the building and inside the lobby, identifying needs and fulfilling them appropriately.
- Monitors traffic flow and lines within the lobby and at the lobby desk; directs guests to minimize wait times.
- Actively identifies, acknowledges, diagnoses, and resolves guest concerns upon arrival.
- Enthusiastically promotes building amenities.
- Maintains accurate knowledge of groups and events happening within the building.
- Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships to support team goals.
- Coordinates transportation (e.g., taxicab, Uber, and Lyft pickups) for guests.
- Appropriately utilizes tablet devices to facilitate guest and tenant arrivals at turnstiles.
- Exceeds standards for personal appearance and grooming at all times.
- Facilitates lobby safety, cleanliness, and security.
- Performs key front desk agent and administrative functions as directed.
- Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have experience as a door staff professional or in a receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel, or restaurant position.
- Must be comfortable around dogs, cats, and other pets/animals.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state-accredited training requirements.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, including lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, and working in inclement weather.
Qualifications
- Bilingual ability is considered a plus.
- Weekend availability required.
Pay
$19.75/hour depending on experience, location, and position.
