Security Officer - Dispatch Representative

About the role

As a Security Officer Dispatch Representative in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, communication protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor radio, phone, alarm, and/or camera activity from a dispatch post, receive incoming calls for service, and relay information to site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document incidents, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or other security-related events in dispatch logs and reports with timely and accurate details.
• Cookordination responses to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and/or other critical situations by communicating with on-site teams, management, and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, while helping to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain visible and responsive during emergencies.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
