Security Officer Detention Facility

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer serving a dynamic public sector location in Columbia, SC. You will provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, respond to incidents and critical situations, conduct patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements as per state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
