Security Officer, Day Shift, Security Services

About the role

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Security Officer who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for our patients, staff, visitors, physicians and volunteers
• Ensure quality outcomes for security department by communicating effectively with security, staff and the public
• Conduct foot patrols of the facility and parking areas
• Conduct vehicular patrols of the parking areas and off-site locations
• Assist with restraining violent patients
• Use time and resources in a financially responsible manner
• Foster group cohesiveness within the security department
• Portray a positive image of the organization

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous security experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Must possess Maryland Driver’s License
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be able to respond to physically demanding emergency calls

Schedule

Employment Type: Full-time
Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
Typical Daily Schedule: 5 Days a week, 8am-4pm
Shift Type: Day Shift
Weekend Requirements: Weekends
Holiday Requirements: Required (follow company holiday calendar)
Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay

Pay Range: $19.21 - $24.90
