Security Officer - Day Shift

Responsibilities

• Aids guests by providing directions and answering questions.
• Investigates all accidents on Harrah’s/Caesars Republic premises.
• Assists injured guests and administers first aid and/or CPR as necessary.
• Checks guest identification to ensure they are 21 years of age or older.
• Patrols the parking lot and garage by car or van.
• Escorts employees with money.
• Controls and directs traffic as needed.
• Maintains high levels of customer service.
• Makes observations and reports any disturbances, crimes, fire hazards, or undesirable persons to security.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Literacy and fluency in English.
• Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record.
• Current CPR certification or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Report writing skills.
• Computer literacy required.
• Ability to obtain a license from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity.
• Acts as a role model to other Team Members.

Additional Requirements

• Auditory and visual fields must include immediate environment.
• Able to move quickly in response to emergency situations.
• Able to deal with violent situations by verbal de-escalation or physical restraint.
• Able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and carry up to 2000 feet.
• Able to restrain or assist in restraining a person up to 200 lbs.
• Able to walk/stand up to 8 hours per day.
