Security Officer - Customer Service - Part Time

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.68 / Hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
