Security Officer - Credential Validation

About the Role

As a Security Officer Credential Validation in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and materials, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of persons, property, and shipments as directed by site policies and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and surrounding business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Loss prevention experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$17.22 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
