About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a vital utilities location. You will manage site access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Working with a collaborative team, you will support a welcoming, secure environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven approach.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured entry points, or other security-related concerns.
Complete accurate reports, logs, and other required documentation related to access activity, incidents, and shift operations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
