About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and credentials, and welcoming employees and visitors with exceptional customer service. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and support security-related procedures while contributing to Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven team culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a food and beverage production location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor authorizations, contractor credentials, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs, issue badges or access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
