Security Officer Part Time Access Credential Services

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer for Access Credential Services at a residential location in Rye, NY. In this role you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and responding to security‑related concerns while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify authorized access in accordance with residential community procedures; and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential security‑related concerns.
• Communicate clearly with residents, staff, and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required incident reports, access logs, and other documentation.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.68 – $18.68 per hour

Schedule

Daytime: Monday 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM; Tuesday 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
