About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document activity using technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
