About the role
As a Security Officer Controlled Entry Driver in Cookeville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor visitor and employee activity, and conduct routine patrols to deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor and control access to facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas, and other restricted locations by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and following established entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and designated restricted areas to identify and report unusual activity, unsecured access points, and security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to visitor activity, access-control events, patrols, incidents, and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
