Security Officer Computer Tablet Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Memphis, TN, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and exit documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Observe shipping, receiving, and distribution operations for security-related irregularities, document incidents accurately, and support compliance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

$17.00 / Hour

• Tuesday: 09:45 PM - 06:15 AM
• Friday: 05:45 AM - 02:15 PM
• Saturday: 05:45 AM - 02:15 PM
• Sunday: 01:45 PM - 10:15 PM
