Security Officer - Community Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Community Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with location protocols, offering directions and assistance to visitors and staff as needed.
• Support a welcoming environment by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues, while following Allied Universal standards and site instructions.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
