Security Officer - Community Patrol Part Time

About the role

As a Security Officer Community Patrol Part Time in Winchester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or site policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry of employees, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols and posted instructions.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating with personnel, observing for potential hazards or maintenance issues, and helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or disruptions to the location.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Computer skills are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
