Security Officer Clinical Support

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff and first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directional support, and/or reporting of unauthorized access or suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities accurately and in a timely manner for Allied Universal and location leadership.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
