Security Officer Checkpoint Inspector

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Inspector in North Brunswick, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Screen associates, visitors, vendors, packages, and/or vehicles entering and leaving the distribution location, documenting activity and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and/or delivery information, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items through attentive observation and adherence to post instructions.
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
Strong communication, a professional presence, and a customer-focused approach are essential skills for this role.
