About the role

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Operations in McCarran, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening personnel and visitors, supporting access control processes, monitoring activity, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. Pay Rate: $25.50 / Hour
Schedule: Day Time — Mon 09:00 PM–05:30 AM, Tue 09:00 PM–05:30 AM, Fri 09:00 PM–05:30 AM, Sat 09:00 PM–05:30 AM, Sun 09:00 PM–05:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established site procedures and applicable policies.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas of the facility.
• Monitor entry points and outbound movement for irregular activity, report concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access or removal of property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
