Security Officer Building Exterior Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Pasadena, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report security-related conditions, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate property contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
