Security Officer Building Access Control

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location as an Access Control Officer, helping to monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support security-related operations through visible presence and routine patrols.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document access activity in support of security-related site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and restricted access areas to help identify unusual activity and report policy-related concerns.
• Support screening and checkpoint operations for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering the location, following post orders and security-related procedures.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
