Security Officer - Brooklyn Bowl Philly

Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of customers, visitors, and staff at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia. This includes observing and reporting all activity, providing escorts, responding to disturbances, and enforcing policies.

• Observe and report all activity in assigned area
• Provide guests with directions and assistance
• React promptly to all disturbances throughout the venue
• Ensure guest and employee safety
• Check guest identification upon entry
• Inspect every guest for weapons or harmful items
• Enforce policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
• Safeguard against theft and property damage
• Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights
• Remain in constant contact throughout shift
• Provide assistance at crime, injury, etc. scenes
• Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in live event security, military, police, law enforcement, general security or other peace officer position
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• Valid work cards required
• Previous experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, live entertainment venue preferred

Physical Qualifications

• Standing, walking, or sitting for duration of shift
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances
• Moving throughout the venue during the entire shift
• Lifting and carrying the equivalent of 1 incapacitated adult approximately 150 - 170 pounds to the nearest safe area in times of extreme emergencies
• Using various security tools and keys
• Verbal communication for two way radio and telephone usage
• Doing detailed paperwork, security observation, and inspection
• Working in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of time
• Standing or staying in a stationary position for entire shift
