About the role

As a Security Officer Badge Desk in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and help deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control access for contractors and vendors, confirm required permissions, and communicate access-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
