SECURITY OFFICER

Location: Menomonee Falls, WI (on-site at Froedtert Men Falls Hospital)

FTE: 0.9 (36 hours/week), Shift 3 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), includes holidays and weekends

About the Role

Providing security in and around the hospital, facilities, campus, ancillary clinics, and parking structures. Focuses on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responds immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigates unusual circumstances, assists with de-escalation, and enforces security protocols. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatch calls as a visible security presence
• Investigate unusual or suspicious circumstances
• Assist with de-escalation and security enforcement
• Monitor and operate CCTV systems (preferred)
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of security experience or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense and Arrest Techniques) course within the previous three years or ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire (includes de-escalation training)
• Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and ICS-100 courses within six months of hire
• Completion of Field Training Officer (FTO) program within 120 days of hire
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent within three months of hire

Skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Push-pull force generation up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Occasional stair climbing and frequent walking
• Ability to transition from floor to standing independently
