Job Summary
You will maintain the highest level of safety and security by patrolling assigned areas, diligently deterring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity or crime. You'll monitor electronic surveillance and hospital emergency systems, dispatch personnel by radio, and actively patrol to protect people and property, all while embodying our core values and supporting strategic quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety and security by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring electronic surveillance, and dispatching personnel by radio.
- Protect people and property by actively patrolling, responding to calls for assistance, and responding to emergencies.
- Respond to incidents such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes committed or in progress, or to emergency codes.
- Monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions and ensure all activities are logged.
- Ensure incident reports are accurately completed and submitted promptly.
- Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers.
- Keep the organization’s mission, vision, and values at the forefront of all decision-making and action.
- Demonstrate the professional and technical skills necessary for the role, exhibiting both depth and breadth of expertise.
- Build trust and confidence through respectful and credible interactions that reflect positively on personal integrity and the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a healthcare setting, law enforcement, or military service
- One (1) year of experience as a Security Officer
- Security Guard: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR within 90 days
- Driver's License: CA
- Fire Safety within 90 days
