Security Officer

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Sugar Land, TX, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and support a secure environment. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and security-related incidents.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$14.71 / hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: Monday–Thursday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
