Security Officer Armed Vehicle Route Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Route Driver in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government. This part‑time position offers a flexible schedule and the ability to claim additional shifts through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public service agencies when needed.
• Maintain required armed‑post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

$21.50 per hour

• Monday: 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM
