Security Officer Armed Route Driver

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer at a public library location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post, offering the chance to support a welcoming community environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to post instructions.
- Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable licensing requirements, while remaining prepared to respond to security-related incidents.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$23.00 / Hour

- Day: Saturday, Sunday
- Hours: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
