What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, students, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public sector education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by checking identification, observing visitor movement, and documenting security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports on daily activities, patrol findings, policy violations, and/or emergency events, and assist with security-related support during school-related functions or after-hours operations.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
