Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Armed Security Officer at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, you will provide protection services, enforce hospital rules, and assist with various tasks to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Provide protection services for hospital staff, patients, visitors, and property.
- Perform approved police actions to deter/terminate crimes in progress.
- Enforce hospital rules and policies.
- Assist hospital security, staff, physicians, patients, and visitors.
- Respond to all emergency codes/alarms.
- Assist with Helipad duties, morgue procedures, parking enforcement, and employee/patient escorts.
- Investigate thefts, disturbances, and suspicious activity.
- Assist medical personnel with patient restraints.
- Maintain required In-Service training hours.
- Monitor and contain disruptions by visitors or patient families.
- Call for outside law enforcement as necessary.

Qualifications
- Must be currently employed as a full-time law enforcement officer and in good standing with the associated police department.
- One year probationary period with the Idaho Falls Police Department.
- Maintain required In-Service training hours.
- Maintain all firearms and weapons certifications.
