About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location in Bradenton, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers the opportunity to deliver with teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and a people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, or conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation; maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Tuesday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
