About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a Plasma Center in Southfield, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform. Ideal for individuals with armed security, law enforcement, or military experience, this position emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, including those involving visitors, donors, staff, and medical emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$25.75 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-time, daytime shifts.
• Saturday: 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM.
• Sunday: 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM.
