About the Role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Culpeper, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will work with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while responding to site needs with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, data areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and support controlled entry procedures for restricted areas containing equipment, network infrastructure, and other sensitive assets.
- Support investigations related to policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or workplace concerns while maintaining a professional presence and following post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a CPO certification.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay & Schedule
Pay Rate: $25.73 / Hour
Schedule: Day Time, Monday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Tuesday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Wednesday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
