Security Officer Armed Patrol Response

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and collections. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout galleries, collection areas, public spaces, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$30.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 12:00 PM - 08:30 PM
• Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 08:30 PM
• Thursday: 12:00 PM - 08:30 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM - 08:30 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
