Security Officer - Armed Patrol Response

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring sound judgment. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card/License.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, data halls, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining awareness of restricted areas and critical infrastructure.
Requirements
- Possess a CPO certification.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification.
- Have customer service experience.

$25.73 / hour

- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
